Observe the moon at PCPL

Join us on Friday, Sept. 29 from 7 - 8:30 p.m. for International Observe the Moon Night! International Observe the Moon Night (InOMN) is an annual event that is dedicated to encouraging people to ‘look up’ and take notice of our nearest neighbor, the Moon. This is a program for all ages! All adults can enjoy moon viewing, and the more nimble can crawl into the STAR LAB planetarium. Children can enjoy craft and project stations for making moon journals, learning about the formation of moon craters, and more! Moon- themed snacks will also be served.

On special loan for the evening is the STAR LAB, a portable planetarium, and a Celestron telescope for moon observation. The STAR LAB and Celestron telescope are provided courtesy of DePauw Professor of Physics and Astronomy Mary Kertzman. Mary and her students will be present to guide and inform our moon viewing.
