Color coming to your Hoosier Topics, new delivery day

by Michelle White

“The Times They Are A Changin’,” is not only a Bob Dylan song, but also our way of life right now at the Hoosier Topics, having recently been purchased by Hoosier Times, Inc., a part of Schurz Communications. Change is looked upon in many different ways by different people, but rest assured, these changes will be great.

In the coming months, the printed edition of the Hoosier Topics will be in color. Photos and some text will be in color and advertisers will have the choice to place color ads for the printed edition. (Most advertisers currently have color ads in the free online version of the Hoosier Topics.)

Cory Bollinger, vice president of Schurz Communications said, “Combined we have a much brighter opportunity to take on the challenges presented as we embrace the digital, mobile-everywhere world of information sharing, while continuing to provide the traditional newspaper experience.”

With the changes come a new publication date. Starting this week, the Hoosier Topics will now be published on Wednesdays. It will be available free online first thing Wednesday morning and printed papers will be received a day later. Deadlines, however, will not change. Display ads need to be in the office by noon on Thursday prior to publication and classified ads must be in no later than 10 a.m. on the Monday prior to publication.

We appreciate your understanding and patience during this transition.
