Bruce Lee Stierwalt, 60

Bruce Lee Stierwalt, 60, of Eminence passed away at 1:55 p.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at Countryside Meadows in Avon, Indiana.

He was born on Friday, April 19, 1957 in Martinsville, Indiana, to the late Hubert and Alice (Oliphant) Parrish Stierwalt.

Bruce was a graduate of Eminence High School and attended I.U.P.U.I. Bruce was a longtime member of the Corinth Baptist Church in Plano, Indiana, and more recently New Life Christian Church in Paragon. Bruce retired from the United States Postal Service and enjoyed coaching and attending softball and basketball games at Eminence. He was a longtime member of the Eminence Lions Club.

Surviving is a sister, Charlene VanZant of Paragon; brothers, Jim Parrish of Zephyrhills, Florida and Phil Stierwalt and wife Carla of Belle Union; several nieces and nephews.

Bruce was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Alice; and brother-in-law, Bill VanZant.

Funeral services were held on Monday, November 27, 2017 at the Corinth Baptist Church, 4875 Plano Road, Martinsville, Indiana, with Rev. Terry Bailey and Pastor Rick Finney officiating.

A graveside service was held at Mannan Cemetery in Lewisville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Bruce’s honor to the Eminence Little League or the Eminence Lions Club.
