Cloverdale senior Jalen Moore is a talent, that is for sure, and one Friday evening that the Patriots had no answer for.

The Cloverdale Clovers hosted the Owen Valley Patriots on Tucker Court, handing OV a 76-38 loss.

Moore opened the game with 10 points in the first quarter, outscoring the Patriots by himself. At the end of one, CHS held a 15-8 advantage. At halftime, the Clovers had extended their lead, 29-14.

Poor shooting plagued the Patriots throughout the evening. Moore and company knocked down 31 points to OV’s 12 in the third, with Moore scoring 17 of the Clovers 31.

Cloverdale didn’t let up in the fourth, tacking on another 16 points, while the Patriots scored 12.

Cloverdale’s offense was led by Moore with 41 followed by J. Kelly with 13, Winders nine, N. Kelly seven and Wilkes six.
