Grab the milk – Girl Scout cookies are here!

It’s time to stock up on the milk as truckloads of Girl Scout cookies are rolling into central Indiana this week. More than 2 million packages were delivered Thursday, Jan. 25, through Sunday, Jan. 28, in cities including Bloomington, Columbus, Indianapolis, Kokomo, Lafayette, Muncie, Richmond, Terre Haute, and many cities in between.

Girl Scouts will begin delivering preordered cookies as soon as they receive them. Girl Scout cookies will also be sold at troop-run cookie booths in front of grocery stores and other local retailers beginning the weekend of Feb. 2 through mid-March. The cost is only $4 per package for all Girl Scout cookie varieties, except Toffee-tastic and S’mores which are $5 per package. And again this year, Girl Scout troops will take credit and debit cards at most booth sale locations thanks in partnership to MainSource Bank.

Girl Scouts across central Indiana will also sell cookies for Operation: Cookie Drop, which annually benefits military men and women and charitable organizations. Girls will ask customers to purchase Girl Scout cookies that will be distributed to soldiers stationed at military bases across central Indiana, along with military veterans and to people who may not be able to afford a sweet treat. Last year, more than 95,000 packages of Girl Scout cookies were donated to Operation: Cookie Drop.

Customers who buy cookies from their local Girl Scouts can be assured the proceeds will directly benefit Girl Scouts in their community. Girl Scouts of central Indiana uses cookie earnings to power amazing experiences for girls through council programming, while girls and their troops decide how to invest in impactful community projects, personal enrichment opportunities, and more. From conquering the rock wall at Girl Scout camp to hands-on robotics activities, Girl Scouts are doing amazing things made possible by each and every cookie sale.

Customers may use the Cookie Finder app on their mobile device to find a booth sale in their area. Corporate sponsors for the cookie program are: American Dairy Association Indiana and Prairie Farms. Milk and Girl Scout cookies sure go together!

We’re Girl Scouts

We’re 2.6 million strong—1.8 million girls and 800,000 adults who believe in the power of every G.I.R.L. (Go-getter, Innovator, Risk-taker, Leader)™ to change the world. Our extraordinary journey began more than 100 years ago with the original G.I.R.L., Juliette Gordon “Daisy” Low.

On March 12, 1912, in Savannah, Georgia, she organized the very first Girl Scout troop, and every year since, we’ve honored her vision and legacy, building girls of courage, confidence, and character, who make the world a better place.

We’re the preeminent leadership development organization for girls. And with programs from coast to coast and across the globe, Girl Scouts offers every girl a chance to practice a lifetime of leadership, adventure, and success.
