They are scheduled to perform at Decatur Central High School Saturday, March 17 at 11:42 a.m.

Director Angela Raisor said, “We are extremely pleased with the development of the group this year. We are very young, with no seniors, only two juniors and three middle school students competing in a class that only has two schools with a smaller enrollment than Cloverdale.”

IHSCGA changed the classes two years ago so many of the guards Cloverdale now competes against were in a higher class and 40 of the guards CHS has traditionally competed against now compete in a lower class.

“Making semi-state is a huge accomplishment for us. It was our goal for the season, but a lofty one. Now, after a very solid showing at preliminaries, we are less than two points from breaking into the top 12. So, we have added a new goal and are working diligently this week to improve enough to qualify for State!” Raisor said. “I just can’t express how proud I am of these students. They have such a strong work ethic and are learning to expect excellence of themselves and their team mates. I look forward to seeing how far they can take the program.”

Tryouts for 2018- 2019 season will be held April 2, 3, and 5 from 5-8 p.m. in the Cloverdale Elementary School gym. There is a place for everyone who tries out.
