Cloverdale Jazz Band performs at recent ISSMA jazz festival

(Courtesy Photo) Recently, the Cloverdale High School Jazz Band performed at the ISSMA Jazz Festival at Terre Haute South Vigo High School.

The band was entered in Division 1, the most difficult, and received a silver rating for its performance. Five Outstanding Soloist awards were also presented to Cloverdale students including, Abel Bates, Jeremy Hess, Ethan Stattner, Jeffery Jurgens and Evan Williamson.

“I am so proud of not only how this group performed, but also how the group handled the curveballs that were thrown at us the week before the performance,” Band Director Jared Metzger said.

(Courtesy Photo) You can see the jazz band perform again at the Spring Prism Concert, which will be held on April 17 at 7 p.m. in the Cloverdale High School cafetorium. The concert will feature the CHS Concert Band, Jazz Band, Choir, the CHS Winter Guard and a couple small groups.
