March 24

Putnam County Non-food Pantry, hosted by St. Andrew’s Episcopal Church, will be distributing items from 12:30-3 p.m. in the parish hall at 520 East Seminary Street. Distribution is early this month due to Holy Week. In order to qualify for the items, persons must bring proof of Putnam County residence. Those who bring their own bags may choose an extra item from the table. All children attending will receive an Easter treat bag. A light lunch will be served.

Greencastle Parks and Recreation Department will be holding their Annual Easter Egg Hunt at Robe-Ann Park at 10 a.m. Ages 1-11 years old will have the opportunity to hunt for Easter eggs filled with toys, candy, and redemption tickets for prizes! This is sure to be an egg*cellent family outing you don’t want to miss!

Antiques show including table top antiques, pottery, bottles and coins. 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Vigo County Fairgrounds. Free parking and admission.

One Stitch at a Time Quilt Club at 10:30 a.m. at the Putnam County Museum. Quilting lessons and Quilts of Valor information will be shared. Call 765-739-6101 with questions. Everyone welcome!

Cloverdale Cemetery Association Board of Trustees requests that all decorations of any kind that will interfere with the mowing crew be removed by March 31.

April 3

Cataract Lake Area Crime Watch meeting at 6:30 p.m. to be held at the Cataract Vol. Fire Dept. on Cunot-Cataract Rd. Candidate’s night for upcoming May primary elections for Sheriff’s office. All candidates are welcome.

April 10

Putnam County Beekeepers meetings are the second Tuesday of every month, 6 p.m. at DePauw University, Julian Science Building, Auditorium. No membership fees. Open to anyone that would like to learn about honey bees. For more information contact bob.gruener@gmail.com.

April 12

Gleaners Food Giveaway will be at the Greencastle Armory from 10-11:30 a.m. for seniors 55 and older. You must be a Putnam County resident. Bring ID for verification and eligibility. Bring your own boxes. Food giveaways are always on the second Thursday of each month.

Free Community Help Desk - Endeavor Communications. 4-6 p.m. at the Cloverdale Office at 2 S. West Street. Our Future Speed Geeks Apprentices invite you to bring your technology torture to us! We will help set up your email, effectively use your smartphone, navigate the internet and overcome other common technology frustrations. Be sure to bring your smartphone, tablet or laptop!

April 14

Habitat for Humanity of Clay County invites the community to their annual Jonah Fish Fry from 4-7 p.m. at the 4-H fairgrounds south of Brazil on State Road 59. Carry-out dinners will be available. Watch for the drive-through signs. Terre Haute Savings Bank in Brazil is selling advance tickets for a savings of $1 per ticket. Advance tickets will be available for adults, $8 and children five-10 years old, $4 at the bank. Tickets are also available from any Habitat board member. At the door, tickets will cost $9 for adults and $5 for children five-10. Children under five can eat for free. Desserts will be available for purchase.
