CES kindergarten class welcomes Purdue students

The College of Education Ambassadors from Purdue University visited Mrs. Fagg’s kindergarten class recently. Their visit was to support the Clover U program that the elementary started at the beginning of the year. The class enjoyed a story and a follow-up activity with the college students. The Clover U program is based on the book “No Excuses University,” by Damen Lopez. The mission at CES is every student deserves the opportunity to be educated in such a way that prepares them for college if they so choose to attend. Each classroom adopted a college and decorated their rooms and doors with their college. They have college visitors throughout the year, classrooms have had things donated for their students, they have signage in the school, and they had a pep rally at the beginning of the year celebrating each classrooms college. It’s about planting the seed that college is possible. (Courtesy Photo)
