Clover baseball falls to Cadets

Amanda York

The Cloverdale baseball team hosted Cascade Wednesday, April 25 falling, 3-0.

The Cadets plated one run in the first and two more in the second for the win.

The Clovers finished with just two hits, both by Haiden Harbert.

“Way too many strikeouts, 14,” CHS coach Kevin Bass said of his team’s batting woes.

“Again we had great pitching,” Bass continued. “Jaren Rossok took the tough loss as he gave up three unearned runs, one in the first and two more in the second. Nick Winders came in the fifth inning and had three scoreless innings. Cascade had nine hits, but (they) were scattered throughout the game, and we threw five scoreless innings. We have got to hit the ball and put it in play and make the other teams play defense.”
