Clover teams take third at recent Putnam Co. track & field meet

The Cloverdale track & field teams took part in the Putnam County meet Tuesday evening, finishing third in both the boys and girls competitions.

The Cloverdale boys were led by Tyler Kaeff with wins in high jump (5-10), the 110-meter hurdles (15.65) and the 300-meter hurdles (41.55). Blake Willis also picked up a win for the Clovers in pole vault (12-0).

CHS also turned in several second place finishes including Jacob Smith in pole vault (11-0), Andrew Monnett in the 110-meter hurdles (16.86) and 300-meter hurdles (43.29) and all three relay teams. The 4x800 team finished second in 9:08.37, the 4x100 team in 47.51 and the 4x400 team in 3:40.77.

In the girls portion of the meet, the Clovers finished third behind winner Greencastle and second place North Putnam.

Kenzie Stoltz had the team’s only individual win, in the 100-meter hurdles (16.42). The 4x400-meter relay team of Jasmine Blankenship,

Grace Leonard, Chelsie Edwards and Kamrie Monnett also won (4:29.34).

The Lady Clovers picked up second place finishes from Kaya Daub in pole vault (9-0), Edwards in the 800-meter run (2:26.63) and Leonard in the 200-meter dash (29.79).

The 4x800 relay team of Blankenship, Lilly Monnett, Edwards and Kiera Rogers was second in 11:33.04.

The Clovers are scheduled to host Rockville this evening, beginning at 5 p.m.
