Clovers, Owen Valley split pair of games

SHAWNA RUSH | SPENCER EVENING WORLD The Cloverdale baseball hosted Owen Valley early last week, falling to the visitors, 12-1 in WIC play.

For the Clovers, Tyce Jackson finished with a double and Parker Watts, TJ Hagymasi, Braydon Blevins and Zach Nees all had a single.

In the second game between the Owen Valley Patriots and the Cloverdale Clovers late last week, the Clovers came up with the win, 6-3.

Parker Watts and Nick Winders scored in the first and Winder and TJ Hagymasi scored two more runs in the third. Watts and Nic Hull added a run each in the third.

The Patriots had a run scored by Nathan Phelps in the second and by Phelps and Trevor David in the sixth.

The Clovers will travel to Greencastle on Friday, May 11 for a 5 p.m. contest with the host Tiger Cubs.
