United Methodist ice cream social June 24

The historic Putnamville United Methodist Church will hold their annual ice cream social on Sunday, June 24 from 12:30 to 3 p.m.

Listed on the Register of Historic Places, this church was built in 1834. You are invited to tour the 1884 office of Dr. Amos Horn, now the Putnamville Museum. Also available to preview is the future Townsend Museum. Both museums are located directly north of the church on the village green.

Ham sandwiches, hot dogs, coney dogs, chips, tea, lemonade, soft drinks, pies, cakes and of course, ice cream will be served. There is no charge, but a free-will offering will be taken.

The United Methodist Women will hold a bake sale at the social and there will be music provided by the James family.
