Castlemakers CoderDojo, a free community-based computer programming club open to all young people from 7 to 17, will meet Saturday, Aug. 4, from 1-4 p.m. at 19 E. Franklin Street in Greencastle. Learn about coding, build a website, program a robot, create a game, or bring in something you’d like to learn! Programmers will be there to help you. Spencer Pride will hold a general meet from 4-6 p.m. at the Spencer Pride Community Center. The address is 17 East Franklin Street in Spencer.

Gleaners Food Giveaway will be at the Greencastle Armory from 10-11:30 a.m. for seniors 55 and older. You must be a Putnam County resident. Bring ID for verification and eligibility. Bring your own boxes. Food giveaways are always on the second Thursday of each month.

Endeavor Communications Speed Geek Community Help Desk, 4-6 p.m. Held at Endeavor Communications in Cloverdale. Our speed geeks are trained to handle anything from computer updates to the simplest phone set ups. Come and see us!

Putnam County Beekeepers meetings are the second Tuesday of every month, 6 p.m. at DePauw University, Julian Science Building, Auditorium. No membership fees. Open to anyone that would like to learn about honey bees. For more information contact bob.gruener@gmail.com.

Cataract Lake Area Crime Watch will have the next meeting at 6:30 p.m. at the Cunot Community Center on State Road 42, Cunot. Air EVAC will be conducting CPR training from 6:30 p.m. to approx. 8:30 p.m. for a fee of $10. Come out and bring a friend. Let’s continue to fight neighborhood crime. Cox Reunion - The Cox family reunion will be held on Sunday, Aug. 26 at Shelter #1 in Robe-Ann Park in Greencastle. The reunion will start at noon. Everyone is asked to bring a covered dish. For more information, call Jerry Cox at 765-653-6985.
