“Beauty and the Beast” at Putnam County Playhouse

(Courtesy Photo) The 2018 season of hits at Putnam County Playhouse continues with a production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. The musical will be presented Aug. 9-11 and August 15-18 at 8 p.m. There will also be a matinee on Sunday, Aug. 12, at 3 p.m. All tickets are $10 and can be reserved by calling the box office at 765-653-5880.

The box office is open Monday-Saturday from 5-7 p.m. only. Tickets for some performances are limited so reservations are recommended.

Sponsor for the show is First National Bank.

Beauty and the Beast is directed by Lee Reberger. Pianist and pit conductor is Marilyn Rush. The orchestra includes Marcia Boswell, flute and piccolo; Drew Brattain, bass guitar; David Lorimer, clarinet, and Michael McClaine, percussion.

The title roles are played by Meghan Armitage (Belle) and Ric McFadden (Beast). Other leading roles include Dustin Bond (Lumiere), Jay Prewitt (Maurice), John Tischer (Gaston), Cameron Callan (LeFou), Brad Sandy (Prince/ Monsieur Dark), and Joshua Bain (Cogsworth).

On the distaff side are Shelly McFadden (Mrs. Potts), Lisa McCoy (Babette), and Ellen McCullough (Madame de la Grande Bouche). Chip is played by Jocelyn Gardner.

The ensemble includes Alex Foster, Amanda Henry, Becca George, Ellie Henry, Daniel Purnell, Clarissa McCullough, Matt Schneider, Ellissa McCullough, Lita Sandy, Devin Huff, and Robin Schneider.

Also featured are Sarah Arnold, Hannahlore McCullough, Alexandra Gandy, Paige Kaiser, and Kaitlyn McCullough.

Set design and construction is by Linda Gjesvold. Production stage manager is Cameron Wunderlich who is assisted by Anna Harris. Also on the production staff are Noah Pettit, Darvëll Barger, Grace Elmore, Aengus McCullough, Ally Taylor, Hadley McCoy, and Fawn McFadden.
