Lady Clover golfers fall to Indiana Creek, South Putnam and Crawfordsville

The Cloverdale girls golf team visited the Indian Creek Braves recently, falling by a score of 236-217.

“(We) had some very promising things happen last night and exposed some areas where we need some work,” Cloverdale head coach Kyle Walter said. “Looking forward to what the rest of the season might hold.”

The Clovers were led by Sammie Shrum with a 50, followed by Grace Leonard with a 59, Libby Dominguez 61 and Michaela Nees 66.

The Braves were paced by Jacqui Button with a 46, followed by Lauren Parsley with a 54, Caitlyn Snyder 55 and Brooke Coy 62.

In tough, rainy conditions, the Lady Clover golf team fell to the visiting South Putnam Eagles and Crawfordsville Athenians Thursday, Aug. 16.

The Athenians picked up the win, carding a score of 211. South Putnam was second with a 221 and Cloverdale was third with a 237.

Crawfordsville’s Bailey Mittal earned medalist honor, shooting a 45.

The Clovers were led by Sammie Shrum with a 50, followed by Grace Leonard carding a 59, Libby Dominguez 63, Michaela Nees 65 and Gayle Baugh 69.
