Karen Temple takes the part of Melissa Gardner; Ben Dulaski reads Andrew Makepeace Ladd, III. When asked how this came about, Karen replied, “About 10 years ago, Ernie Ford asked me to read Love Letters with him on Valentine’s Day as a benefit for the Heart Association. To help me practice, Ben read through the script with me. At some point, Ben turned to me and said, ‘I would love to do this with you sometime.’ This has been on our bucket list ever since.

“Ben turned 80 in May and is fighting some health issues.” Karen continued, “So when Silver Linings needed a full-length play, I volunteered us. We are delighted to be able to do this together at last.”

Linda Ford recalled the earlier presentation, “I loved watching Ernie and Karen read this play. That two people I treasured could make those feelings real for an audience was a triumph. I love this play. I’m glad Karen and Ben get to read it together.”

Love Letters is presented through special arrangement with Dramatists Play Service, Inc.
