Why bobcats are important

All animals have an important part in the food chain.

Bobcats keep the wild rodent population to a manageable level. Without them the mice population would eat all the bird eggs, leaving us with no birds.

Bobcats hunt, breed, sleep and play with one another. They do not go in packs, they hunt alone. Bobcats are specific to North America and they range throughout the US, parts of Canada and parts of Mexico.

Rare and lucky is the person who catches a glimpse of this beautiful creature! Here are a few websites to visit: www.animalfactguide.com/ links www.animalplanet.com/wild-animals world.org/weo/wildlife.
