Youth dove hunt to be held Sept. 1

West Central Quail Forever and Deer Creek Fish and Wildlife Area will host a youth dove hunt on Sept. 1. from 8 a.m. through 12 p.m.

The hunt will be held at Deer Creek Fish and Wildlife Area, North Section - North of US 40 across from the Putnamville Correctional Facility.

You will need a valid hunting license, game bird stamp and a registered HIP number for the Migratory Bird Harvest Information Program, to participate in the hunt. You will need to bring your own ammunition for the hunt and it must be non-toxic. A limited amount of 12 and 20 gauge will be available at the site.
