Clover cross country finishes well at Bulldog Invitational

Coach Andy Tyler and his Cloverdale cross country runners competed at the Columbus North Bulldog Invitational Saturday, Sept. 1.

“We competed well,” Coach Tyler said. “I’m happy with our performance. Looking forward to the final stretch.”

The Cloverdale boys finished seventh as a team with 235 points. They were led by Brady Koosman in 12th with a time of 17:48, followed by Seth Geiger in 43rd in 18:54, Chase Ashcraft 55th in 19:12, Rylan Hall 56 (19:14), Nat eNees 69th (19:27), Josh Beikman 95th (20:33) and Elliott Williamson 100th (20:43).

Grant Maners and Nate Monnett competed in the junior varsity event, finishing in 24:04 and 24:29, respectively.

The Lady Clovers did not have enough runners to compete in the team event, but finished strong, nonetheless.

Senior Chelsie Edwards was 14th overall in 21:25, followed by Lily Monnett in 15th in 21:31, Maci Couch 47th (23:32) and Megan Miller 105th (29:32).
